places of birth

We took a trip to Cooperstown, NY to see the birth place of baseball and the baseball hall of fame. About half an hour before we were leaving, we decided to make it an over night trip and also visit Sharon, VT the birth place of Joseph Smith. We had a great time making memories. We even drove into New Hampshire just to say we did. It is great to have boys that travel well. We didn't even have a DVD player with us.

Cooperstown is a little town with adorable little shops. It is a town lost in time. The boys were in heaven with all the baseball stuff. We also visited the living farm museum there.

From there we drove until we were ready to sleep. The next morning we went to church in Sharon and then visited the sites there. It was such a peaceful place. The monument is to this day the largest single cut piece of granite. It was an amazing feat to get done in 1905, when it was made and dedicated. The history there was rich and again just peaceful.

On the way home we stopped at a Vermont State Park. I don't know which one. There was a gorgeous gorge. We did a little hiking to get some blood moving in our legs. Vermont is a beautiful place to visit.

The slide show crops some of the pictures. Sorry
